I live in Portchester and ordered a load of Ash on Wednesday and they delivered today. Very easy to order.  Small vehicle with crane on  back which made it easier to drop the bag at the top of the drive.  No fuss or bother.  Very pleasant driver who clearly enjoys his job.  He explained that the wood is cut into lengths that stack easily into log stores with no problems with toppling.  The lady in the office was helpful and tried to fit in with my arrangements. I cannot  praise this company enough … My usual supplier had no logs until NY … Phoned Southampton Logs early morning  and same day they squeezed me in for a delivery when they were already stretched The logs are all a good size for my log burner. I emailed Southampton Logs on a Sunday with an enquiry and the lady replied within an hour with all the answers I needed! I had a bag of logs in my garage on the Monday and they burn perfectly and slowly too! An easy invoice payment using online banking, which is perfect. Excellent quality and service. Always go to this supplier for my logs. I have an open fire and a couple of years ago the logs I had from him were slightly wetter than expected. With no questions asked he brought over another ton bag and gave me some kindling all free of charge. This was a one off however, as Daves wood is usually excellent, especially this year's lot. Excellent quality logs and a first class service. The logs are clean and absolutely bone dry and in a good variety of sizes which is handy for getting it going with smaller ones then larger ones once the fire is nice and hot. 95% of them good sized to chuck straight on the burner, just one or two to split up smaller. So glad we found this company! By far the best logs we've ever had. We order a builder's bag for £100, free delivery. We ordered at the weekend and they were here by this morning. I needed some oak to cook with in my smoker BBQ for some chickens I was smoking last weekend. It was a Sunday morning but called anyway and the guy couldn't of been more helpful .I was told I come come straight away and we could go through what type of logs he had so I could choose suitable sizes for my smoker. Fast delivery, and the kiln dried logs burn very well and have a moisture content of about 10%. Having tried to source proper "seasoned" wood elsewhere and been supplied logs with three times this moisture content, this was very welcome. My only quibble is that the website mentions that the bulk bags are cubic metre bulk bags, but they are actually only 0.8m in diameter, which means the bags are only half a cubic metre in volume. Ordinarily selling half as much as advertised would warrant a lower review, but it seems common in the industry to mis-sell bulk bags as equivalent to a cubic metre so I'm willing to overlook this to a certain extent.
